Bello is a versatile professional with over 22 years of post-graduation experience most of which covers many areas of corporate and investment banking. Bello is an Alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree in 1984. After obtaining his Barrister- at- Law from the Nigerian Law School in 1985, he proceeded to the Wayne State University, Michigan, where he obtained his MBA specialising in Managerial Finance (1989). He has also completed executive development programs at the prestigious Harvard Business School and The Wharton School both in the United States. He is also a Chartered Stockbroker.
His career has taken him to ECOBANK Nig Plc, where he was in credit and marketing department responsible for multinationals and conglomerates, and later the bank’s lease portfolio. He subsequently moved to New African Merchant Bank Limited (NAMB) at the Corporate Finance Department where he was involved in a number of major capital market transactions such as the privatisation of First Bank of Nigeria, Unipetrol Rights issue, sale of Gamji Bank of Nigeria among a myriad of other engagements. In 1996 he joined FSB International Bank Plc with the objective of pioneering the establishment of the bank’s Corporate Finance Group. He successfully ascended through the ranks of top managerial positions, rising to the position of Group Head Corporate Banking (handling the bank’s relationships with major corporates across the entire spectrum of the Nigerian economy). In 2003, he assumed the added responsibility of General Manager Investment Banking before finally being appointed Acting Managing Director/CEO of the bank.
Bello manages a diverse team of professionals, who have been exposed to valuable on-the-job training by senior ING consultants to facilitate the transfer of knowledge throughout the organization, and raise the quality of our people on core pension management processes.
Yola has over 22 years post-graduate working experience gained mostly from the banking sector. His career took off as a building engineer at the Kano State Ministry of Works in 1984 where he worked for 5 years before deciding to accept the challenge of a banking career. His track record in the banking industry is quite enviable; he started as a credit officer at ICON LTD (Merchant Bankers) and later moved to FBN (Merchant Bankers) Ltd. While with FBN, he was at various times Branch Manager, Head International Operations, Head Information Systems and Treasurer. In 2006, he joined First Bank Plc as Assistant General Manager where he left to join Legacy.
Misbahu Yola is a seasoned professional equipped with experience in areas ranging from engineering, finance, operations to marketing, human resource and information technology management. He is an alumnus of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he obtained a B.Sc in Building and an MBA. He has also attended some of the world’s most prestigious management and financial Schools including The Ashridge Management College England, INSEAD France and The Darden Business School U.S.A but to mention a few.
With an MBA from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Kalu has over 13 years composite experience gained over the years as Product Group Manager in UAC of Nigeria, and an Investment Analyst in BGL Limited. Prior to joining Legacy, he initiated an asset management business for the Private Banking franchise of FSB International Bank Plc.
Kalu is a member of the Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria. He is also an alumnus of the West African Capital Market School, and the New York Institute of Finance where he attended the Fund & Portfolio management and Fixed Income programs, thus allowing him to bring strong brand management, marketing and process management skills to Legacy.
He is an Alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University and an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Management. Prior to joining Legacy, was marketing manager of Intercellular the foremost private telecom network in Nigeria. Abubakar has 12 years composite experience gained from Societe General Bank & Intercellular Ltd. Specializing in Direct marketing and large account management.
Prior to joining Legacy, he was a Senior Consultant in finance, accounting and strategy in the advisory services arm of the Financial Institutions Training Centre (a Bankers’ Committee institution). He possesses over 19 years composite experience in Financial Advisory services including Financial Analysis, Auditing and Strategy. A former consultant for ‘informal sector financing’ on World Bank financed Urban Informal Sector Support Programme, he also served as Privatisation Adviser to the Abia State Government. He was a Group Financial Analyst at Churchgate Group and worked at the defunct Technical Committee on Privatisation and Commercialisation (TCPC) as an Investment Analyst.
Uche is an Alumnus of the Imo State University at Okigwe where he bagged B.Sc. degree in Accountancy in 1987. He got his MBA in Banking & Finance from the Federal University of Technology Owerri in 1995 and in the same year became an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA). He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) as well as an Alumnus of the Lagos Business School.
Lukman is a core-IT professional with over 11 years of post-graduation experience in software development and implementation. Prior to his joining Legacy Pension Managers, he engineered and supervised various projects during his period in Habib Nigeria Bank and BankPHB Plc. He has held several Informantion Technology Management positions and led several IT/IS project teams in the course of his work experience.
A graduate of Computer Science from University of Ilorin, from where he also had an MBA. He has attended several professional development courses and has several professional certifications.
Mohammed is in charge of the Human Resources and Admin Departments. He has a BSc. in Business Administration from the University of Abuja and is a Student Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management. He worked previously with the Nigerian Ports Authority and FSB International Bank Plc.
Musa is the Head of the Benefits/Retirement Administration Department. He has a BA in Arts History from the University of Maiduguri and a Masters in Business and Commercial Law from the BayeroUniversity, Kano. He worked previously with EcoBank Nigeria Plc and BCI Resources Ltd.
Oluwatosin heads the Risk Management and Compliance Departments. She has a BSc. in Economics from the University of Jos and an MSc. in Business and Financial Economics from the University of Greenwich, London. She worked previously with Oceanic Bank Plc and First Alliance Pension & Benefits Ltd.
Raymond is the Portfolio Manager overseeing all investments. He has a BSc. in Biochemistry and an MSc in Biochemistry both from the University of Calabar. He is also an Associate Member of the Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria and has attended various professional courses in Portfolio Management. He worked previously with Macrossby Engineering Services, Topaz Investment and Trust Ltd and Amana Capital Pension Ltd.
Jibril is the Acting Company Secretary. He has a Bachelor of Law from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and has been called to the Nigerian Bar. He has various certifications and has participated in the Inter-University Summer School on the European Decision Making Process held at the Institute of European Studies in Brussels and Vienna. He worked previously with Buba Aliyu and Co. (Legal Practitioners and Consultants).
Ahmed heads the Internal Control & Audit Department. He has a B.sc. degree in Accounting from the Bayero University, Kano and MBA in Finance from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
He is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA). He is also an Associate member of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.
He worked previously with the Transcorp Hilton Hotel and Trustfund Pensions PLC.
